Two-day course that provides theoretical and practical training for endodontic retreatment, to develop a systematic approach and enhance the skills required to improve endodontic retreatment efficiency and predictability. 

Day 1

• Endodontic failures: explanation of how and why treatment can fail
• Diagnosis and benefit of 2D/3D evaluation
• Retreatments: indications, benefits, and harms 
• Interpretation of criticisms: one of the keys to success
• Disassembling crowns, posts and steps by step operative procedures

13.00-14.00 Light lunch

14.00-17.30

• NiTi instruments for retreatments
• Clinical cases, discussion and problem-solving
• Hands-on on real and plastic teeth

Day 2

9.00-13.30

• Management of critical issues: broken files, perforations, calcified canals, ledges and wide apex
• Irrigation and obturation during endodontic retreatments
• Workflow and operative timing
• Case discussion and role playing
